Becky Denison’s talk at HIV meeting

My sister, Becky, a long-term HIV survivor and activist, gave the Delaney Memorial talk at the 2025 Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections. She talks about her 1984 HIV diagnosis looked like a death sentence, the progress that’s made HIV more of a chronic disease (with side-effect benefits that helped with covid, etc.), and the impact of the Trump/Musk/Vance/Kennedy attacks on science, especially cuts to USAID-supported programs, which are harming people in other countries now, with effects on all of us on the horizon. Here’s a link to her talk.

The people who didn’t wear masks to protect others during the peak of the covid pandemic (transmitted through the air) are the same people that wanted to send people with HIV (transmitted sexually) to concentration camps.
